PATRICK GILLILAND

CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER

Public SchoolsAs part of the founding team of two successful natural food supermarket chains, Wild Oats Markets and Sunflower Farmers Markets, Patrick has more than 20 years of Senior Management experience.  He has been instrumental in the development of more than 140 locations from inception through to the sale of both supermarket chains.

He was the Director of New Store Development at Wild Oats Markets from 1990 to 2000, where he oversaw an aggressive growth plan of building more than 12 new stores a year and supervising numerous remodels.  In 2000, Gilliland helped to form Sunflower Farmers Markets and assumed the role of Vice President of New Store Development and Construction.  Sunflower grew to 40 stores before it was acquired by Sprouts Farmers Market in June of 2012.  Patrick is a licensed General Contractor in 7 states and has a proven track record of achieving significant time and capital savings when developing a new retail location.

Patrick majored in Asian studies at the University of Colorado and continued his studies at the National Taiwan Univ. He has used his experience in China directly importing supermarket-related items further reducing building and fixture costs.

Bo Sharon

PRESIDENT

Public SchoolsBo learned the concepts of hard work and being a team player starting at the early age of 3 years old as a childhood actor in Hollywood, CA.  He earned his screen actors guild union card by appearing in the hit television show Happy Days as Ron Howard's son. Bo appeared in over 90 television commercials, 50 television shows and 9 movies.

At the age of 16 years old Bo was following his passion for food and graduated as the top student in his class at the Art Institute of Los Angeles.  He continued in the years ahead and after completing his culinary apprenticeship in LA he was recruited to compete in Germany at the Culinary Olympics. Bo secured a silver medal in the Olympics, beating out representatives of over 30 competing countries.

In 2003, Bo turned his love for food and service into Lucky’s Market in Boulder Colorado.  Over the past 9 years Bo has expanded this business by adding a Café, Bakery and Creamery to meet the needs of his growing customer base.  Since opening, sales have grown by over 500% at this single location and this year Lucky’s was voted Best of Boulder as Boulder's Best Grocery store and Best Local Business. Bo has proven that by providing the best in quality foods at the lowest prices in town combined with passionate service that an independent can become number 1 in a competitive marketplace.


JASON BROWN

SVP, Business Development

Public SchoolsJason has over 35 years in retail as a key team member in founding companies from inception through roll-out, with a proven track-record of innovative success.  His first business began at 19 years old by founding a company that started from a single imported shirt being sold at universities, to become a chain of 18 retail stores, which was then purchased by a large global firm.

Jason’s career has been dedicated to branded, direct-to-consumer businesses in apparel (Columbia Sportswear), on and off line nutritional retail (Dr. Andrew Weil and The Natural Apothecary), and food (Organic to Go). His experience in business development, tactical execution, and fostering teamwork within a focused, fast, results-oriented environment makes it possible for him to deliver on his responsibilities as part of a founding team.

Jason has joined Lucky’s Farmers Market as the SVP of Business Development to lead our efforts in working to fully develop our EB-5 Financing and will work as part of the team as we expand into operations.

Tim Overlie

Director of Operations
and Purchasing

Public SchoolsTim has spent his entire 30 year career passionately working in the natural products industry, from his first job as a grocery bagger to National Cheese and Specialty Category Manager for over 100 Wild Oats Markets.  His senior position was responsible for meeting all financial metrics required to drive profitability through serving the customer what they want at fair value pricing, meeting all gross profit margin metrics. 

As part of his experience, he was responsible for opening many locations in Colorado and received Store Director of the Year twice, blending his ability to drive customer and employee satisfaction to create a profitable overall business per location. 

Since the sale of Wild Oats to Whole Foods Markets, Tim worked in a senior role in the wholesale segment of the natural, organic and specialty foods industry.  Tim joined Lucky’s Farmers Market to head up retail operations and overall purchasing.
